The Ancient Theatre of Magarsus is located in Karataş district of Adana province and on the south of the Ancient City of Magarsus which took the stage of history in the 5th century. It was built in period of the King of Seleucus, IV. Antiochus Epiphanes (175 – 164 BC) according to the information given by the inscribed statue base revealed in the orchestra section of the building. The structure was built according to the Greek theatre tradition and by using the slope of the land in the northwest – southeast direction.

 

The project includes Documentation – Problem Analysis, Material Analysis, Historical Research – Restitution, Intervention Decisions and Restoration projects.
