The initial design of the Mersin Community Center was prepared in 1938 by Prof. Hermann Jansen. It was originally conceived as two independent units but was later consolidated into a single mass. The architectural design of the building was carried out by Governor Tevfik Sırrı Gür, with construction beginning in 1944 and the opening taking place in 1946. Located on Atatürk Avenue in the administrative center, the building consists of two stories: a central main block housing the theater hall, flanked on one side by the sports hall axis and on the other by the exhibition and workshop halls axis.

The project includes Documentation – Problem Analysis, Material Analysis, Architectural Survey, Historical Research – Restitution, Intervention Decisions – Restoration, Static, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering projects.
